The March hare....

It's the first of March and there is a heavy blanket of snow all around us here in Suffolk after "The Beast from the east" has passed through!

We've taken some time off at the beginning of the year after a very busy build up to Christmas.

But we are now back and bouncing around getting excited about spring and all those wonderful blooms that are yet to pop!

Daisy dog our wee pup who is almost a year old in March, she is turning out to be a great help within the team and her mum Holly dog is so pleased she stayed with us!

So what's new for Blooms and Buds in 2018? Well we are soon be to launching our

  • Weekly flower subscription - this is going to brilliant and a such a great gift idea too. We are going to bring weekly flower deliveries to you for just £23 a week. That includes postage and packaging and of course a cracking bunch of flowers! All you have to do is unpack them, cut the stems and place them in your favourite vase! You'll receive your own log in details where you can review your details and should you need to cancel the delivery for a week then you simply opt out then regular deliveries will commence again automatically.
  • Our fresh foliage & flower garland collection is also new this year. We have always specialised in garlands at Christmas but have created a collection for  year round decoration. Just like our Christmas garlands we make them all to your order so you can guarantee that they are as fresh as a daisy! These garlands are just perfect for any wedding, dressing of marquees, events, outdoor parties, table runners and so much more! Of course many people require bespoke lengths or more deluxe garlands and we are always happy to work with you on your ideas so just get in touch via email contact@bloomsandbuds.co.uk
  • The seasonal wreath collection are also very popular and this year we intend to increase our wedding wreath series. Again we make all of these wreaths to each individual order and bespoke orders are always welcome, these wreaths add such a great personal tough to any wedding, or special occasion or if you simply love to have something on your door!

We plant as many of our own flowers for the season in the Blooms and Buds garden and we hope to build on this year after year so we can provide very fresh British grown flowers. If we can't source our flowers and foliage from our own gardens then we reach out to other British growers and buy directly from them. This means that the flowers we order are cut just before delivery this really helps to keep them fresh and long lasting which we love, and of course from this country!

What to look forward to in March:

Mothers Day 11th March- why not treat your mother to a weekly flower subscription this year... amazing bunches of flowers delivered to her each week.

St Patricks day 17th March - time to celebrate with the Irish and drink Guinness!

BRITISH SUMMER TIME BEGINS 25th March - We can't wait for this one! Don't forget to change your clocks.

Bank holidays ... Good Friday 30th March followed by Easter and Easter Monday 1st April- why not order one of our "cracking" Easter wreaths with eggs on!

Enjoy the snow whilst it's here, keep your eyes peeled for March hares, don't forget to feed your birds whilst this cold snap is here too. Once the snow is gone we hope to see some spring like weather and some changed in the garden ready for another busy season ahead.

All the best - until next time,

Blooms and Buds

Clocks are changing time to change with them!

This autumnal wreath has been a great success and used by many as a centre piece when entertaining. But the summer / early autumn glow is going and winter is I'm sure just around the corner.

We've had Halloween ! Wooohooo - great fun time of the year not just for children but us adults too!

Firework night is always great even though there has been a few drops of rain we hope everyone had a chance to enjoy some great bonfire's and toasted marsh mellows!

We are now getting very busy here at Wreathsbypost.co.uk the dogs aren't getting the attention they used to as all the extra time we usually have is now being put into gearing up for all your orders!

This year we have many more items for you, new designs, and I must confess my favourite are the fresh garlands. Made from the finest noble fir hand crafted and beautiful! Just on their own draped across a fire place they look stunning. But of course we have them decorated for you too ... have a peak at the garlands collection!

Please may we take this opportunity to remind people even though it is boring to hear and maybe not all everyone if thinking about Christmas yet, but please please order your wreath, garland and or table decoration soon, as we do sell out and don't want people to miss out.

Happy Christmas shopping!! Any queries or questions please get in touch we love to chat!

Realising summer is over....

By juliet Brann
on September 24, 2014

Realising that summer has come to an abrupt end happened a couple of weeks ago. I had managed to get away from what some may  call a 'summer holiday' others may not (!!) However having been abroad and 'enjoying' 40 degree plus heat my body went into some sort of shock when returning home. The mornings where misty and dark with a cool chill to the air. It was taking a while for the sun to shine and warm the day around us. The evenings required a jumper and even the log burner had to bought back into action!

But what really made me realise that summer was over was the flora and fauna. The bright colours of summer are replaced with the 'rusty' 'fiery' colours of Autumn. The leaves are being shed by the trees and conkers line the paths throughout the woods.

This however is not a bad thing, on the contrary in fact, autumn is a magnificent time of year for wreaths and floristry. The colours of foliage, berries and flowers that are on offer are brilliantly seasonal and always create a warm glow when placed into any arrangement.

This autumnal wreath we have created is perfect for using as a centre piece with the hurricane vase. Use it for the table whilst having guests over, you can still enjoy alfresco dinning for a bit longer and this looks stunning all lit up at night. It is brimming with seasonal decorations and wouldn't fail to impress.

Something else that is bound to impress this season is the 'Chic Hydrangea Wreath' -

They just ooze understated glamour!

Autumn is here... embrace it for soon it will disappear and winter will be here!!

Summer is here

By juliet Brann

Summer is here...

The first thing that I have noticed is that people seem to be in brilliant spirits. May be that is because of the sunshine we have had after a few weeks of down pours!

This weather is great for the garden though and really shows the diverse range of flowers and plants that our in the British gardens.

Here at Wreaths by post we try and use seasonal flowers and foliage for all our products. I have been busy trying to get the much needed website up and running. It it not easy and never enough hours in the day for all the jobs to get done!

Wreaths can be used for anything, decorating the house, or as a table centre piece with or without a candle in it, as a gift or something more predominate like a funeral tribute.

I hope that the site shows what we can do here at Wreaths by post and welcome any feedback from you.
