Realising summer is over....
Realising that summer has come to an abrupt end happened a couple of weeks ago. I had managed to get away from what some may call a 'summer holiday' others may not (!!) However having been abroad and 'enjoying' 40 degree plus heat my body went into some sort of shock when returning home. The mornings where misty and dark with a cool chill to the air. It was taking a while for the sun to shine and warm the day around us. The evenings required a jumper and even the log burner had to bought back into action!
But what really made me realise that summer was over was the flora and fauna. The bright colours of summer are replaced with the 'rusty' 'fiery' colours of Autumn. The leaves are being shed by the trees and conkers line the paths throughout the woods.
This however is not a bad thing, on the contrary in fact, autumn is a magnificent time of year for wreaths and floristry. The colours of foliage, berries and flowers that are on offer are brilliantly seasonal and always create a warm glow when placed into any arrangement.
This autumnal wreath we have created is perfect for using as a centre piece with the hurricane vase. Use it for the table whilst having guests over, you can still enjoy alfresco dinning for a bit longer and this looks stunning all lit up at night. It is brimming with seasonal decorations and wouldn't fail to impress.
Something else that is bound to impress this season is the 'Chic Hydrangea Wreath' -
They just ooze understated glamour!
Autumn is here... embrace it for soon it will disappear and winter will be here!!
